Fundraiser for Plastic Research in the Ocean & Screening of Mini-Documentary About Plastic Bags in NYC
Thursday, May 30th 6:30-9:00pm Fundraiser for Plastic Research in the Ocean & Screening of Mini-Documentary About Plastic Bags in NYC
Jennie Romer, founder of plasticbaglaws.org, will be sailing across part of the Atlantic Ocean in June (from Bermuda to Rhode Island) on a 72-foot sail boat with The 5 Gyres Institute to study single-use plastic pollution that has made its way from land to the middle of the ocean. Jennie needs to raise $3000 for a spot on the boat and is thus holding this fundraiser.
