Hearing on LA County Prop 26 Lawsuit Scheduled for March 15th

The hearing on the Writ of Mandate in Schmeer v. Los Angeles County (Hilex Poly’s Prop 26 lawsuit) is scheduled for 3/15/12 in Dept 85.  This lawsuit is important to plastic bag laws in California because it will determine whether Prop 26's restrictions apply to the paper bag charge included in "second generation" plastic bag ordinances.
